Our client in the Frederick, Maryland area is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for their Hospital. This up and coming area has also been rated by National Geographic as one of the best cities in the USA! Interested candidates must have a minimum of 2-year experience with prescribing medications. This PMHNP will be working in their Outpatient Unit and Substance Abuse program. This is a full-time opportunity, and relocation assistance if out of state.

Responsibilities of the PMHNP:

• Provide care for Mental Health patients in their Outpatient and Substance Abuse units
• Evaluations are 1 hour and follow up appointments are 20 minutes
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician and patient's family regarding patient care

Requirements of the PMHNP :

• Must be PMHNP-C
• Must have 2 years of prescribing authority
• Eligibility for MD Licensure
• Able to prescribe any medications needed for mental health
• On-call is a requirement – 1 weekend every 6 weeks and two days a month via phone (all are paid bonuses)
