Job Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and provide support throughout the process.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate imaging equipment according to safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor patients during exams to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records using computer systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe examination environment.

Requirements of Radiologic Technologist:   

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensure: Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist license required.
