Job Description:

Our client near Hickory, NC, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dedicated team. Job Responsibilities for the Urgent Care NP/PA

As an NP or PA in Urgent Care, you will:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of acute illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages.
  • Perform physical examinations, obtain patient histories, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Provide wound care, splinting, and minor procedures as necessary.
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality and efficient patient care.
  • Adhere to clinic protocols and ensure patient safety.

Minimum Job Requirements for the NP/PA

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Licensure: Current and active NP or PA license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an urgent care or emergency room setting.
  • Skills: Must be autonomous, flexible, and dependable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
  • Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
