Our client located near Belen, New Mexico area is seeking an Emergency Medicine NP/PA to join their team. This a full-time permanent role with great benefits and competitive compensation. Responsibilities for the Emergency Medicine NP/PA:

  • Performs entire patient care continuum of urgent care and acute patients who present to the Emergency Department.
  • Performing initial assessments, appropriate ordering/interpretation of diagnostics, exercising treatment algorithms (including treatment of abscesses, laceration repair, and fracture stabilization and splinting), and arranging for appropriate disposition (including admissions) for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  • Utilizes available physician resources appropriately. Demonstrates high confidence in treating patients.
  • Looks for opportunities to grow skillset with goal of improving autonomy.
  • Available for Primary Patient Care to include review of lab/x-ray reports, medication refills, patient referral, patient education, health maintenance and symptom management in acute and chronic disease for patients age newborn to geriatrics.

Minimum Job Requirements of the ER NP/PA:

  • One year of experience as an NP/PA in an Emergency Medicine setting
  • Active DEA
  • New Mexico Licensed or eligible to obtain
