Job Description:

Currently looking for Histology Technologists II to fill openings with outpatient facilities located around the Bonita Springs, FL area. Interested candidates must be ARRT Registered in mammography as well as ARRT or ARDMS Registered in Breast Ultrasound and be able to obtain a Florida Radiologic Technology license.  Sign-on Bonus offered!

Responsibilities of the Histology Technologist

  • Performs moderate and high complexity Histology procedures on patient specimens and quality control material to provide slides and data to assist in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease
  • May perform non-physician gross examinations and/or high-complexity staining procedures as required by location or shift
  • Demonstrates sound decisions making skills when evaluating quality control results, checking abnormal or unexpected results for accuracy
  • Day and night shifts are available

Requirements of the Histology Technologist

  • Two to four years of formal education or training beyond high school and an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or certificate in laboratory science from an accredited institution
  • Experience may be substituted for education as described by State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel Statutes. Education/ training qualifications to perform non-physician gross examinations as described in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Anatomic Pathology
  • Florida State Licensure required
  • ASCP HT/HTL
