Inpatient Pharmacy Manager Opportunity in Arizona  

Are you an experienced Pharmacist seeking a new permanent opportunity in the Sierra Vista, Arizona area? Look no further! A reputable healthcare facility is currently seeking a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager to join their team. M-F schedule.   $150K salary.

Job Description:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the pharmacy; ensures compliance with patient care quality standards for all age groups; directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals and related supplies; participates in the department's planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education, and human resources activities. Interprets physician orders; acts as a drug information resource to staff and patients; compounds and dispenses prescribed medications for patient care.
Plans, organizes, and directs overall operation of pharmacy. Ensures compliance with various regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with hospital administration in planning, organizing, and directing pharmacy operations.
  • Directs and participates in the development/revision, implementation, compliance, and communication of policies, guidelines, and standards for the Pharmacy Department in accordance with Hospital policies, JCAHO standards, and State and Federal laws.
  • Works closely with the nursing staff, medical staff, and other department managers in addressing pharmaceutical services issues. Coordinates interdepartmental program planning and implementation efforts.
  • Establishes credibility with regard to pharmacy services in order to successfully market utilization of the pharmacy to the physicians.
  • Prepares operational and capital budget yearly.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Arizona.
