Responsibilities of the PMHNP:
- Provide direct psychiatric care, including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning, to individuals across a diverse age range.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans and provide ongoing patient monitoring.
- Conduct medication management, including prescribing and monitoring medication effectiveness and side effects.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
- Actively participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and stay updated on the latest advancements in psychiatric care.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintains accurate electronic health records of patients and completes documentation in a timely manner
Minimum Requirements of the PMHNP:
- Must be PMHNP-C
- Eligibility for IA Licensure
- Able to prescribe any medications needed for mental health
- Limited On-call requirement
